..Theodore
Robert Cowell - today better known {historically and
publicly} as
Ted Bundy,
was born on November 24, 1946 in Burlington, Vermont. He
is also
the
Zodiac
sign
Sagittarius. When
examining Bundy’s
natal chart I see that Jupiter was a 17.4
percent influence. The “Jupiter
influence” can promote self indulgence. A
natal chart is comprised of 10 planets, two luminaries, the sun and moon
and three fast moving
planets.
..Jupiter and Saturn and three very slow moving planets, Uranus,
Neptune and Pluto. The secondary elements being the lunar nodes, the
dark moon, Chiron and other asteroids. The zodiac wheel contains 12 astrological
houses.
..Jupiter
is a gas planet, which means it does not have a solid surface. It has
the fastest rotation rate in the whole solar system. It’s
also the largest with a dynamic radius of 44,423 miles and that is 11
times greater than the earth. Jupiter is estimated to be 90 percent hydrogen
and 10 percent helium along with some
other trace gases. The bands you
see on this planet are the high velocity winds that flow in opposing
directions. There are also raging storms that have been going on for
years. If you notice then Great Red Spot, well, the earth could easily
fit into that very area.
..The
percentages that are depicted in Bundy’s natal chart are as
follows: 55.5
percent -FIRE-, 34.2 percent -WATER-, 7.5 percent -AIR- and a mere 3
percent -EARTH- influence. If you are not familia
r with
what
these elements represent I will cite some examples of the characteristics
of
each of these elements. "Fire" people (Leo,
Aries and Sagittarius) are
aggressive, strong willed, passionate and spontaneous; "Water"
people are
the emotionally
driven (Scorpio,
Cancer and Pisces) which can make them
more compassionate,
but if unbalanced prone to depression. "Air" signs
(Libra,
Aquarius and Gemini) live
in the realm of the mind and are interested in pursuits involving a lot
of intellectual
engagement. "Earth" signs
(Taurus,
Capricorn and Virgo) I would have to describe as
having more stability than the other signs but yet showing lack of emotion
in comparison to
other zodiac signs. I personally grew up surrounded by Taurus people
(a
dad, a brother and an ex spouse). These
earth signs are stubborn but have a high physical endurance level typically.
They have to watch their
waistline. Being more caught up in the material world they may indulge
in rich foods.
..Bundy’s
dominant signs in accordance with his Natal chart are Sagittarius (32.5
percent), his charm and witty side Scorpio (34.2
percent), his dangerous, manipulative side and Leo (22.9
percent), one of the most
aggressive of all these signs, but also giving credence to his career
minded nature. This can be a deadly mix as far as the Zodiac if your
goals are purely self motivated. We are talking about three of
the most driven signs of the Zodiac set in motion and Bundy was using
his traits
to he max and as a launching point to accomplish the tasks at hand as
he saw fit.
..Bundy
seems to have embodied all of the darker and “dominance
oriented traits” of each of these signs
and this made him into a "very
aggressive individual executing every move with a sharp mind".
However, he masked his sinister side with charm going into high gear
and that is how he attacked victims and caught them off guard and unaware
of his menacing motives. His overwhelming
charm, the mark of a Sagittarius, left victims preoccupied with this
mask of humanity.
..Sagittarius
people have an abundance of good traits which makes them come across
as quite charming. I personally have been in
a relationship with a Sagittarius for quite some time now, so I know
this to be true.
Bundy was receiving marriage proposals when he was on death row. Yes,
I would have to say he had many a lady quite captivated. You
can expect plenty of witty and intelligent conversation when in the company
of a
Sagittarius. Another thing worth mentioning about
the Sagittarius is that they have an affinity for travel. Bundy did
make his way around
various states committing his self indulgent crimes. The Sagittarius
is an independent character and jumps at the chance to travel and thrives
on new adventures.
..THE “BILLY
THE KID” COMPARISON
..If
I were to compare Bundy to another {outlaw} Sagittarius it would
be "Billy the Kid" (Born:
November 23, 1859, Died: July 14, 1881). Both
of them had that deadly charm that brought them their claim to fame.
Both
of them were highly popular with the opposite sex. Both of them managed
to leave this world leaving their mark so to speak. They both used
the strong will of a Sagittarius combined with cunning and I gather
they
were a real challenge to law enforcement. Bundy escaped jail more
than once. His mind was quick as is most of the Sagittarius breed
and he found
a way to make an escape in a most creative way. He purposely lost
weight so he could fit through a small crawl space and make his undetected
exit
from a place designed to harbor and keep locked in the most undesirable
of the human race.
..For
the benefit of those that aren’t real familiar with Billy the
Kid. Billy the Kid’s gang was called The Regulators. Frank
Coe, who rode as a Regulator, recalled years after the Kid's death: "I
never enjoyed better company. He was humorous and told me many amusing
stories. He always found a touch of humor in everything, being naturally
full of fun and jollity. Though he was serious in emergencies, his humor
was often apparent even in such situations. Billy stood with us to the
end, brave and reliable, one of the best soldiers we had. He never pushed
his advice or opinions, but he had a wonderful presence of mind. The
tighter the place the more he showed his cool nerve and quick brain.
He never seemed to care for money, except to buy cartridges with. Cartridges
were scarce, and he always used about ten times as many as everyone else.
He would practice shooting at anything he saw, from every conceivable
angle, on and off his horse."
..Billy
the Kid was actually known for his personal charisma and popularity.
Various accounts recorded by friends and acquaintances describe him
as fun-loving and jolly, articulate in both his writing and his speech,
and loyal to those he cared for. He was fluent in Spanish, popular
with
the ladies, an accomplished dancer. The Hispanic community heralded
him as a champion of the oppressed. "His many Hispanic
friends did not see him as a ruthless killer but more so as a defender
of the people
who he was forced to kill in self-defense." According to legend,
Billy the Kid killed 21 men, one for each year of his life, but that
is merely the legend and some would believe the number was not that
high.
..WHAT MAKES BUNDY
A “PSYCHOPATH”
..Bundy
has all the hallmark signs of a "PSYCHOPATH".
They are as follows: Pathological
lying, manipulative behavior, lack of shame or remorse, superficial
charm, high intelligence, poor judgment, incapacity for love,
poor self control, self centered and engaging in promiscuous behaviors.
Psychiatrists do not believe psychopaths can be reformed because
shock treatment does not work and no drug therapies have produced
successful
results and even the relationship with the therapist is tainted
because trust and being open just does not exist in the psychopath’s
mind set. According to (DSM
lllR)
psychological survey tool, between 3-5 percent of men are sociopath's
and less than 1 percent of females are. Reference “The
Hidden Suffering of the Psychopath at {http://www.psychiatrictimes.com/display/article/10168/51661}.
..Joni
was one of the very few victims to even survive an attack by Ted
Bundy. His acts of murder and mayhem spanned across the United
States between 1974 and 1978. This poor woman has the most unfortunate
experience
of being badly beaten and a bed rod was torn away from the bed
and rammed viciously into her private area. She was taken to the
hospital in a comatose
state and the damages from this attack would stay with her for
the remainder of her life both mentally and physically. There were
an estimated 35
more victims after Joni who were not so fortunate to have even
survived an attack perpetrated by Bundy.
..Ted
Bundy’s family consisted of four other siblings and Ted was
the one to baby sit them after school. Ted’s stepfather made
a sincere attempt at making Ted feel welcome as his son with camping
trips and
father/son activities but Ted still remained emotionally separated
from his stepfather. Ted was overly shy and uncomfortable in social
situations
for many years. He was often teased but still maintained a high grade
point average throughout both high school and college.
..As
Ted got older he was well spoken, well dressed and well mannered.
With all this going for him, he still preferred to be involved
in skiing
and politics over the dating scene. He has a real fascination with
politics.
Ted attended the University of Puget Sound and The University of
Washington. He worked such jobs as bus boy and shoe clerk while
attending college.
He didn’t stay at one position for long at all. He had a strong
focus on his studies until spring of 1967 when he met a girl that
he was really taken with and was his first true love. This is the
woman
that ultimately broke his heart and crushed his spirit when she left
him in 1968. This fiasco caused Ted to drop out. Ted had even won
a summer scholarship to Stanford University just to impress this
lady.
..Another
mentally taxing event overtook Bundy in 1969. Bundy had been led
to believe his real mother was his “sister” and that
his grandparents were his parents. Bundy finally found out that the women
professing to be his sister was his birth mother. His mother did not
want the outside world to know that she had a child out of wedlock. This
had to have a strange harrowing effect on Bundy judging by the change
in Bundy’s character and demeanor for the worse. Bundy began getting
his thrills from stealing. You see, the psychopath derives excitement
from the danger involved with shoplifting and burglarizing which he became
involved in. There is also no remorse when it applies to the psychopath.
It’s interesting to note that Bundy re-enrolled in the University
of Washington and studied psychology and excelled in the subject
and was an honors student and well liked by professors there.
..Ted
began a nearly five year relationship with a new found love, Elizabeth.
She was a shy reserved secretary. She set her sights on marrying
Ted but he didn’t feel the same type of commitment towards
her. Ted began two timing Elizabeth and secretly meeting with his
first love
trying to rekindle what had been once between them. In 1973 Ted was
on a business
trip for the Republican party and met up with his old flame and she
was impressed at how well his career was taking off. She once again
fell
for Ted and talk of marriage was proposed.
..Ted
was applying to law schools and worked on a campaign to elect a
Washington governor. To top it off Ted even found time to work
at a crisis clinic
on a work study program. He even saved the life of a three year
old boy who was drowning in a lake. But Ted’s feeling for his old girlfriend
were not genuine and grew cold and in February of 1974 he ended all contact
with her with no warning and got the revenge he was after all along.
That, my friends, is the Scorpio revenge put into action that I often
write about. I went into great detail about this revenge streak which
was a theme in Manson’s life, who was a Scorpio. Ted Bundy
has some Scorpio in his chart so there is some of that character
coming
out.
..Now
it is January 31, 1974 and Bundy’s life takes an ugly turn.
He takes the life of a 21 year old senior woman majoring in psychology.
This was a lady that had a lot going for her. She was an excellent singer
and loved working with children who were mentally handicapped. After
having a few beers with friends she returned home to watch television
and call her boyfriend. Her plans were derailed by a menacing man who
was bent on taking someone’s life and this time it was going
to be her. She never showed up for her radio station job. She was
in the
brutal hands of a killer and no longer able to continue her life
as she had known it.
..During
that spring and summer more women students were disappearing and
falling into the menacing hands of Ted Bundy. All Bundy’s victims
bore a resemblance to each other with a slender build and wore long hair
parted in the middle. Bundy was now wearing a cast to draw women toward
him. Bundy’s well thought out plan had worked like a charm.
Another scheme he used was that he would pretend his WV bug was having
trouble
starting. He appeared as a stranded motorist in distress. In August
of 1974 in Washington's Lake Sammamish State Park, the remains of
some of
the missing girls that disappeared on July 14, were found and two
were later identified. Next was a woman that saw that Bundy was having
difficulty
loading his boat due to his cast and offered her assistance.
..Now
Bundy started traveling to different states. Midvale, Utah's, Police
Chief had a seventeen-year-old daughter whom he made a point to
frequently warn about the dangers of people in the world. He had
seen way too much
during his career and worried for his daughter's safety. On October
18, 1974 when his daughter disappeared and his fear became reality.
She had
been found 9 days after her disappearance and had been strangled,
sodomized and raped at the hands of Bundy. Another victim was found on Thanksgiving day in the Wasatch Mountains
by the river. The victim was beaten in the head and face with a
crowbar and then raped and sodomized. The suspicion was that she
was killed some
place else and dumped there.
..Bundy went to trial on February 23, 1976, for attempted kidnapping and investigators scrambled to link him to the murders. A confident 29-year-old Bundy came across as polite and composed as ever. The fact was Bundy could not come up with a solid alibi for the day of the attack. Bundy appeared to be confident he would not be charged but regardless of his over confidence he was found guilty of aggravated kidnapping and sentenced to 15 years in prison. BUNDY MAKES TWO PRISON ESCAPES.
..Then, on October 22, 1976 Bundy was charged with the murder of a 23 year old victim. This individual was found raped and beaten on February 17, 1975. It was at this time that investigators had sufficient evidence to convict Bundy. Bundy found himself in the Garfield County Jail awaiting the trial for his latest murder. Bundy waited until there was no one around and jumped out a second story window on June 7, 1977. He was not captured until eight days later when he was found in a stolen car in an effort to leave town.
..It was obvious that Bundy’s mind was working overtime trying to come up with a plan of escape. He started eating very little in order to reduce his weight by 30 pounds. His new physique enabled him to squeeze through a small hole that was in the ceiling next to a light fixture. He then ended up in the closet of his jailer’s apartment. Next thing you know, Bundy walked right out the front door. Fifteen hours would go by before anyone noticed Bundy had disappeared. He made to Chicago and then got on a plane headed for Florida. He had totally baffled investigators at this point as to his whereabouts.
..Bundy was now living near Florida State University. His routine was petty thievery and he was now calling himself Chris Hagen and sported a beard. The night of January 14, 1978 Bundy attacked four sleeping women who were residing at the Chi Omega House at Florida State University. Bundy’s had entered the sleeping victim’s rooms and did such things as rape and strangulation. Bit marks were discovered on the victim’s nipples and buttocks. A metal hair spray can had been used as a sexual assault weapon. An autopsy revealed that the victim was beaten with a club and strangled. Two of the victims died as a result of their injuries inflicted by Bundy. One was beaten so savagely that part of her brain was exposed.
..On February 9th a 12 year old girl was reported missing. Six days after her disappearance a Pensacola officer on patrol noticed Bundy in his WV bug who appeared to be casing the neighborhood. A chase ensued. The officer ran a routine check on his plates and found that he was in a stolen vehicle. Bundy was ordered to the ground by the officer. Bundy tried to fight off the officer and the officer fired a gunshot to subdue Bundy. The officer was able to get Bundy into handcuffs after much resistance.
..An important piece of evidence was “teeth impressions” that matched up to the Chi Omega victims. Theodore Robert Bundy was finally connected without a doubt to the murders. July 23, 1980 was the day Bundy was finally convicted to the electric chair and had to finally pay his dues for his horrific crimes that led him to confess to 40 murders. That is a windfall of deplorable and atrocious behavior that impacts so many and affects the hearts and minds of friends, family and loved ones. More of the negative impact of his loathsome acts reaches all facets of society once it hits the papers and Bundy certain had his share of publicity.
..Bundy’s words are as follows: "We serial killers are your sons, we are your husbands, we are everywhere. And there will be more of your children dead tomorrow."
..His words give a truth that is bold and atrocious yet something we must except that a certain segment of society has only the most detestable things on their minds and some have the lack of forethought to actually put their ugly thoughts into action and the reprehensible becomes an inconsonant reality. I think they all know deep inside that a heavy price will have to be paid somewhere down the line but they still pursue their loathsome behavior regardless of any consequences. They seem to be able to restrain those thoughts of owning up to their extrinsic behaviors.
..As we see from history of these types of criminals catching them is not an elementary feat. These killers are elusive and mentally astute. There is a lot of thought, no matter how vile the thoughts are that go into committing these crimes. We must never underestimate the mind power of this revolting segment of society and be on guard for the innocent masks they use to lure their victims into their web of deceit lest we fall victim as well. Following Bundy's execution on January 24, 1989 when he finally died for his atrocious crimes committed against part of the female population, his remains were cremated at the request of his family and spread throughout the mountains in Washington State, where the bodies of several of his victims had been discovered.
