ROBBIE THOMAS

....The desire to become a police officer and having a career in law enforcement was always my goal in life, something a teenage boy like myself would dream about.

..Looking back 26 years ago when I was taken into the Chief's office to sign papers as an auxiliaries for they were taking three of us at the time, to join the force in my home town was the start of my career or what I thought would be my career in law enforcement. After the Chief looked down at the signed papers seeing I was only 17 he had a double take looking at me and smiled. He asked me to come back when I reached the age of 20 for I was just a bit too young to join the force.

..After reaching the age of 20, I did do several police testings throughout my region where I lived trying to make the force of several different cities. Well, finally I did testing for a regional police force, went through the final testing and interviews and being told welcome to the force. I came home the next day from doing the long day of trials and tribulations that come with doing police testing and interviews with excitement to share with my family.

..I was in my kitchen at the time talking with my wife and my father when a horrid scream came from a woman running back and forth in a parking lot just behind my back yard. I hopped the fence only to see this hysterical lady screaming, “accident…accident”. She was pointing down the lane of the parking lot towards the roadway that was just around the corner from the town homes that ran in a singular row.

..As I ran down the parking lot looking for some scene that might await my eyes while trying to focus on the perhaps people hurt or even killed in an accident, I was met with a clear roadway with no accident at all! As I approached the intersection a man's voice yells out to me, “over here, over in here!”. I then started to become concerned about what type of situation am I dealing with here. As I approached the gentleman calling me over to the sliding doors on his patio, he directs me to come in to his town home where screams were echoing out of this apartment area.

..I walked in the town home noticing a woman running around a kitchen table screaming, another individual over by a door holding the doorknob leading to whatever was on the other side of that door. He takes one look at me and waves me over in a worried voice. As I approached this man by the door he grabs my shoulder and in one motion opens the door and pushes me in this small bathroom just off the kitchen area.

..Now at this time I am still thinking "accident" and looking down on the floor for a blood trail or signs of someone hurt. As I entered the bathroom there he was, an older man staring directly at me. His eyes met mine and it was a very cold stare something I will never forget as long as I live. Well... I walked over to him and noticed his lips blue to the color and not moving. I started to take vitals checking for a pulse, looking him over for any sign of life when out of nowhere I hear some type of sound coming from within the small confines of this room. It never struck me as funny for I was too busy continuing to see if this man had any signs of life and thoughts of what is my next move to help him.

..“Let me go… Let me go”, I heard it twice and stood tall and stiff not moving or making a sound. I think every ounce of my being just froze looking directly into his eyes as he stared directly back at me. I started to think, “did I just hear this dead guy talking to me!” , I mean... put yourself in this situation and you have a million and one things going through your mindset trying to figure out what is your next move to save this individual. I leaned over him getting closer and in a more subtle way taking caution to listen again to see what I heard to be correct. I again checked his neck for a pulse when it was louder this time and more distinct! “LET ME GO!”. Well... that was enough for me and I backed off just as fast as I got pushed into this small room.

..My next thoughts were, everyone got so quiet in the kitchen and I know they are going to want to have good news coming from where I was with this man dead but what could I do or say. Many things ran through my mind from "ok, I just heard this guy speak to me" from beyond clear as a bell and the family listening attentively wanting some sign of good coming out from this room and yes, again, going through my mind was,"this guy did speak to me, what now!"

..I opened the door from this bathroom and all eyes were upon me with a dire need to know if the gentleman would be ok. At this point, my father finally made it to the doorway, walking in the town home and the first thing he asked is, “is everything ok?” My immediate response (and you have to remember I was just taken back from what just happened to me in the bathroom) was I shook my head "no". Well... all hell broke loose in the kitchen as people screamed and ran all over the place, it was a very sad moment for everyone involved. I come to learn later on from the coroner that no matter what I did or tried to do, nothing was going to bring this man back for he had a major coronary that tore his heart muscle that he couldn’t have survived this ordeal.

..Now... being taken back from the events that took place I decided at a moments grace that I know I was doing the right thing and wanting to be involved in law enforcement but to me it was clear and becoming more clear each day that went past for the week ahead. I decided to call down to the police recruitment center where I did my testing and decided to not become a police officer and follow through with it. The reason for this is I knew I would serve better doing what I do and having a gift I could be better utilized in situations helping law enforcement and families in crime through spirit.

..The very first movie I am in came from a phone call from a detachment from Chatham Police Force from a Sergeant who was making a movie about Police Offices, Firefighters, EMT’S who quit duty caused from duress or stress related job issues. Now, I found this funny during filming for they were really looking for signs of depression or tears to flow from my eyes over this incident and just seeing their expressions on their faces as I explained what took place was priceless. This was the footing to a whole new career for me and spirit as I have been now actively involved in helping police and families in murder/missing persons cases for the last 18 years. What a difference a day makes in the life of God and spirit when messages of help or direction come through for a meaningful purpose. ............................ ......Intro by Robbie Thomas

.At age 20, Robbie Thomas was testing for the regional police force and had been told welcome to the force. Then something happened that changed the course of his life as he knew it. His neighbor had an emergency situation and Robbie responded without hesitation. He found himself tending to a lifeless man. As Robbie checked for a pulse he heard the dead man speak and utter "let me go." Robbie then made the decision to use his gift in a capacity to help both law enforcement and families in solving crimes through spirit.

..No smoke and mirrors here. Robbie calls it like he sees it. If you can appreciate more of a straightforward approach, then you will hang on every word Robbie has to say. This article showcases Robbie's abilities as a psychic investigator, two documented cases turned into DVDs, including "SALLIE HOUSE" to his leadership of one of the biggest Canadian paranormal conventions of our day.

...My first contact with Robbie Thomas was when he wrote me a general response to my "Rate the Psychic" Editorial page. On the first intial reading of his submitted letter, I was a little put off by his reaction. I started doing my research and discovered that Robbie is an -Aries- (An Aries is a fire sign and they tend to be very straightforward in expressing their thoughts and the communication thereof as well as very focused and passionate about their beliefs and paths in life that they follow)- this led me to understand his very direct approach and his personal perspective on what I was doing.

..Based on my Assistant Editor's persistence to reach out to Robbie directly... Joe called Robbie up personally and started what was basically going to be -The Interview- (if we were taping it - this was our initial meeting, lasting about an hour on the phone) as I walked into the office during mid conversation. Both Joe and I felt personally Robbie was one that could communicate his own personal experiences and beliefs behind them very articulately and in an entertaining way that we could all learn from.

..Robbie was kind enough to have his management send us the Sallie House -DVD- for our review, which in turn turned into this question and answer session that you are about to read. I liked how the -DVD- began which was a portrayal of the legend of SALLIE HOUSE. This puts the whole -DVD- into perspective for myself . Robbie's findings are based on what he feels psychically. The legend draws you in and gets you interested in this haunted location, but according to Robbie, who was actually there, what he picked up personally did not reinforce or validate the legend that he was brought into investigate.

..What follows is Robbie's own words based on (our pre-interview phone conversations) and Robbie Thomas' e-mailed answers to my questions.

..THE INTERVIEW OF ROBBIE THOMAS...... Interview by Tara Ciampa

..TARA/Visions: At the end of the film, you say:"Sallie is a doll..." I was like.... "Well, tell me more"! Can you tell me if "Sallie" is an actual spirit or an actual children's doll and what led to that conclusion?

..R.Thomas: Before the thought of even filming the Sallie House movie in 2007, there was an earlier story to filming this movie I was involved in back in 2006. I will elaborate more on this later on in the interview. During the actual filming and being present at the Sallie House the day before everything started, the sense and knowledge of the name Sallie a little girl which the story is based on really never existed and is folk lore in many aspects of the meaning.

..Michael Esposito said it in one of his interviews he had that there were approximately 7 names I came up with that matched entirely to who walked the halls of this small quaint home. The ones on film during the making of the movie in which you see me in the basement explaining who was there at the time also matched with historians of this building.

..It's easy to label something or even give it a name that then people will take to, for the interest of identifying a spooky place or chilling happening has to have that stigmata or benchmark if you will. The naming of the house Sallie House in my opinion should be called the 'House Of Spirits', rather that of its current labeling for one explicit reason that proves there were or was no Sallie in and around that area whatsoever during the time the story is told. When speaking with individuals who actually lived in the home as well as historians no records ever were found of anyone in this small town was named Sallie!

..After reading the home I had the opportunity not only to sit and verify the names I got that came to me which all check out from one of the historians but those who investigated and had lived there also agreed there is no record of anyone named Sallie from back in 1906 who cross the threshold of this home. Many of the names when doing my walk through were actually kept secret from me that evidence not only in records not existent to public view but in EVP recordings that investigations have been captured with Michael Esposito in the five years plus working on this property as well as that of another historian.

..I could only relate the name and it came to me in this fashion, that when I walked into the home a question was posed to me about Sallie and how she came to be so sick then die in the dwelling. My response immediately was, "there was no Sallie but possibly a doll named Sallie belonging to one of the children." All evidence after the fact of filming, going over different materials that suggest no name Sallie ever, would point to the logical explanation... perhaps just a doll and that of the ability to see bringing forth the other names that were validated would also suggest the 'House Of Spirits' would be a much more appropriate name.

..TARA/Visions: Was that "your dog" we saw in the Sallie House? If yes... what other adventures and experiences have you had with your dog friend?

..R.Thomas: No... actually that was one of the producers Great Dane. We were all at breakfast in the morning the first day before the news channels showed up for interviews with the cast and such and Scott the producer asked me, "Robbie... what could we do or use that isn't so repetitive that you see on television in those ghost shows all the time?" As I was thinking of a great way to not only show validity but leave the conventional way of k-2 meters, IR Thermometers and other gadgets out of this filming I noticed over Scott’s shoulder his dog in his pick-up truck. It hit me, what a means to proving or at least showing validity in some fashion immediately on film without the "who is here, can you give us your name" same old same old. Why not use Andy, the Great Dane for then it would be un-acted, not faked, unrehearsed, and you see it as it happens! Validity at its best through the means of an animal for all animals are sensitive extremely so.

..I turned to Scott and said in a calm fashion, give me your dog on set and I bet we can turn the Great Dane into a Cha Wa Wa! He laughed but thought it a great idea and so did the entire cast and crew. It has never been seen in this fashion of filming or in the direct line of fire so to speak. I am always wanting to bring to the table new simplistic ways that prove validity that even Michael Esposito who is a scientific genius agreed, this was perhaps one of the best ways to do it for science can only do so much.

..There was much more shot during the filming with Andy the Great Dane, that didn't make the film but let me tell you by the time we were finished a quarter of the first day, the poor dog made his way to the front door sat there whining wanting out. I opened the door and he made a "B-Line" right for Scott’s truck, jumped in and would not come back out! Just another step in the process of looking beyond the scope of existing gadgets, theories and ways to explore the element of finding the truth in the unexplained!

..TARA/Visions: What is your assessment of the attacks the man in the video endured? What type of entity was causing these attacks?

..R.Thomas: It's funny you ask this question! I will now turn to the story of the first attempt to film The Sallie House movie back in 2006. I was approached by RJ Television to which New Dominion Pictures, Michael Esposito and Ceo Michael McDowell of the Indiana Ghost Trackers were all involved. Ron the producer of RJ Television called me up and asked if I would be the Medium in the movie they were about to shoot in Kansas. I Agreed and the plan was set forth in getting things all arranged for this shoot. Not too long after that phone call I was visited by a lady spirit to which she explained in detail what was going to happen during this film shoot with everyone involved and that I should stay home its not my time.

..Now... picture a woman in her mid to late twenties just appearing and explaining to you stay home! What do you mean stay home! I am going to do this movie I Agreed. This was not happening I thought to myself as I am being shown exactly what course of action each of the individuals I named in the top part of this answer was going to come to fruition.

..It was shown to me that not only the film shoot be busted up within the first two days of landing in Kansas but detailed information of who would say and do what to whom. I thought this really as a warning now and thus I cancelled my trip to Kansas for any film shoot at all.

..Ronald James, the producer called me up after I left messages I would not attend. He was a bit irate at the time and even with the explanation I gave him still didn't suit the means to the beginning of a movie. He wanted me there regardless and I wasn't having anything to do with it. See, this is what was told to me and these were the warnings I gave to each individual letting them know who would be doing what to whom. I said to Michael McDowell, "don't go you will not even get into the house!" He was taken back by this over a course of a few days of wondering why and many phone calls placed back and forth.

..I said to Michael, "They won't use you at all in this film shoot, your going to be disappointed, it will be a wasted trip for you and money going down on your own dime." He even made mention his girlfriend didn't want him to go as well. Turned out I get a phone call from Michael as he is now driving back home to Indiana and he told me they had a big argument of some sort and he wasn't even allowed in the home.

..Ronald James calls me up and leaves a message on my answering machine. "Ok Mr. Psychic, I guess you were right, everything went to pot and nothing got filmed. What a waste! You were right about Michael Esposito, New Dominion and everything." Now what I did was I told again each individual what to look for and what was going to happen for it was told to me that way. The part I left out not telling each individual was the part what they were going to do to the others so when everything fell into place as it was shown to me this was the huge validity I wanted to see if it was to happen at all.

..Each premonition for each person played out according to the woman who visited me that day and saved me from going all the way to Kansas for a moch up break up film fest!

..Here is the "Rub". This part I told Michael Esposito. I was also told my time would come to go and tell the truth but it would be a year from now. I also made mention to this to Ron James, which the discussion was a heated one. Well, a year to the day approximately, I am on the front porch of the "Sallie House", with the intention of bringing people through who flew in from all over the United States and Canada for my tour stop and filming. It was pleasant and peaceful to which much got accomplished. No ego's, no commander in chief rankings, it was just a group of people wanting to take the time to bring positive ness together and seek an answer. This turned out to be the best thing and the movie, The Sallie House, was made!

..As you see I hardly addressed the attack issue, for as many know I have been in many places internationally and yes I have been say poked, pushed for the ones on the other side want acknowledgement they are present to get a message across, but during the time of having not only myself but people from all over North America come to this event, not one was attacked, scratched, pushed or poked in a malicious way whatsoever. I personally found the place welcoming and warm, I In fact said this many times although I did reflect through the minds eye of the bad person Finney was in the time of the early 1900's.

..I do know that the individual you speak of who was seen on film being scratched as it happened in front .of cameras, he has this stigmata of being more involved in this situation than others. I wanted to see personally some form of attack or feel some type of interaction but not that I was going to provoke or invoke. For we all know people on the other side can't be provoked or invoked in a malice way "they know us better than we know ourselves". I encountered nothing of this for we went in with a positive compassionate way and the results were phenomenal. Much of the attacks on this individual have been recorded by he said she said scenarios, yet there are a couple of times it was recorded as it happened.

..One more thing I want to note is, in the film the individual who was the person being attacked from the history of this home, made mention of a woman standing at the end of his bed on an encounter not long ago and it was played out on the film almost exactly how it was shown to me and the look of the woman almost the same description in features. I was taken back the first time I seen the added footage to the movie The Sallie House! This I found extremely thought provoking and lent credence to the fact of what took place back in 2006 with me.

..TARA/Visions: Why do you think these "entities" seem to pick out certain people to go after? Are they drawn to the fear that particular person has or is it something else?

..R.Thomas: I don't feel its the fear factor that certain people are the draw from others on the other side, its the fact individuals are a catalyst of sorts being able to accept or understand more of what goes on. Some people might have an altercation with someone from the other side and not know how to deal with it for the simple reason they haven't achieved or realized their own potential of being. Everyone has intuition, very few can achieve much more than this, they just either don't know how to properly deal with it or they won't accept it. Then again, its not the time or effort one puts into the "want desire" to have it, its the actual chosen time by spirit and God of the proper way this is to be handled. Impropriety of many is seen from the other side like looking through a window, thus the choosing of how or when a message is to be relayed is not up to us, its up to the spirit in which this will happen.

..I did this spiritual encounter which I write about in my up coming new book called Paranormal Encounters, where a so called "entity" had this so called "poltergeist" effect on the family and home in which they lived. I talk about how I enter the home and want to capture certain aspects of myself doing a spiritual release caught on film and recorders. Well, once I was able to establish a good line of conversation with the individual at hand, it was a woman who was murdered back in 1920 that wanted answers and was plaguing the family who lived there now. I went through statements such as, Elizabeth is playing with your daughters ears, she tugs them, the owner of the home gasped and said her 3 year old told her stories of a lady who would tug her ears and play with her at night time.

..Then we went to the fact of the fire in the kitchen area that lead to the basement, again the husband and wife both expressed while explaining they were renovating and found the fire walls behind that were scorched long ago and were just plastered over. As the four day event continued, I decided to sit with the family of the home and go over the evidence captured on film and EVP. A dark sinister laugh and noises you can't mimic almost like those on the old bugs bunny cartoon shows, pating patong type noises. This was being played out directly into one of the recorders closest to the stairwell. Then there were the two dogs barking loud, again directly in front of the micro tape recorders, yet there were no dogs in the house nor anywhere close by at night or during the day barking. The basement door was opening and closing by itself and I put my foot to stop it while I snapped a couple shots looking back into the kitchen area only to discover we caught a "whisp" or "entity" or properly is spirit of the person going by.

..After all this engagement and then finally speaking with Elizabeth when she was ready to talk, I made mention of her dying in the home and how things the way I seen it played out. You not only felt the air change in the home but on micro tape recorder picked her up in a mer mer then it was a cry a muffled cry not only once but several times then the word spoken "the truth" could clearly be heard. As I continued to share in compassion and help for her in this situation, everyone in the home who was there on those days and nights said the same thing, the air lifted and the presence was totally different. Since this time of spiritual release or what I like to call it confirmation of them, letting them know we are here for them, there has not been any attempt of any disruption in the home whatsoever. The story is in more detail in the book but this gives you a glimpse of that direct line of contact and how to really discern the energy or spiritual connection. Too many people get things misconstrued misinterpreted, and most of all misunderstood. Just an example for you to look at in the rise of so many of these so called demons in my home or entities running my hallways type scenarios.

..TARA/Visions: Robbie, Is there anything you would like to add personally to outreach to the readers of Visionsmagazineonline.com regarding if some of our readers may be looking for psychic help regarding tragedies in their lives, for loves ones long gone.

..R.Thomas: First thing I always say to people in a situation they are desperately seeking resolve or closure with love ones is, don’t jump to the corner where you see a neon sign that says “psychic”, if you can not find the answers within and from speaking with your angels, guides, or God and you need to fulfill that void in your heart, check credentials of anyone who claims to be with ability. Go that extra mile to ensure the individual is real, there are too many out there who will throw up a web site, bogus claims, fraudulent testimonies, and much more.

..Love yourself enough to take that moment so that you don’t get duped into something your going to regret later. You can go on line and chat rooms are filled to capacity with people claiming they can speak to your loved ones or help you in a crises of tragedies, never answer someone who poses question after question saying they are reading you, they are fishing for a lucrative way to grab at your heart strings and make you believe in what they are saying. If the answers don’t come without questioning, stand up, turn around and walk out.

..I have done missing persons and murder cases now for a long long time, and memory serves me well in remembering certain individuals who have lead families and even police on a wild goose chase to nothing for long periods of time. Substantiating absolutely nothing related to the case or person involved. This is upsetting and appalling! Always check credentials not so much testimonies but the background of the individual you are putting your heart in their hands. See if they have done the work and if there are any records at all of him or her working with authorities or news bulletins or validation of involvement in some fashion with other cases. Above all, always go with your gut instinct your first intuition, if it don’t feel right, it most likely isn’t!

..TARA/Visions: By the way, we understand that you are basically spearheading a paranormal convention/gathering of professionals in Canada. Would you please expand upon how this came about and your choices of the paranormal professionals that are going to be attending.

..R.Thomas: About a year and a half ago I sat and had a conversation with Keith Age about putting on an event in my home town in Ontario Canada. I have always wanted too after the fact of touring throughout they United States was always keeping me away from home. Keith suggested why not put on a paranormal convention and invite people who surround themselves in touring all the time and who work in the field of the paranormal. I thought this to be the answer to what I was wanting to do.

..The planning started and in doing so I researched many individuals within the paranormal who were credible and not so credible. In any aspect of any function you do research is key to establishing the best of what one can bring to the table. So, Keith Age without a doubt was on my top list to have come to the Can-Am Paracon. With his experience over the decades of working in the field and also being a good friend of his now for a long time, I couldn’t see anyone else fitting the bill so the list began of guest speakers. Keith has worked with the best in this field with long hard hours of determination which has landed him being the Host of Spooked on the Sci-Fi Channel.

..Being involved in crime myself on the right side of the law that is, I got to know Patrick Burns who was on Haunting Evidence who had a show that kind of dealt in that aspect of looking for answers but in a ghostly kind of genre. Patrick was on one of the top shows that came out in the last 5 years that people are still up on and people always love to meet celebrities who are involved in the unknown, Patrick was the right fit!

..Moved along to Steve Genier from S.O.P.S. and also a film producer who really seeks the truth in the field and is skeptical in finding the truth. He has worked on various projects with well known individuals in the Horror, Drama and Paranormal filming that having Steve is a complete asset while representing Ontario my Province in which I also live. Michael Esposito, my colleague who co-starred with me in Dead Whisper and The Sallie House Movie.

..Looking back at the assembling of the cast of Dead Whisper, I took it upon myself back in 2005 wanting the best in the field for EVP and frequency application. Michael was the top of his field and blossoming into much more. Michael worked with the psyops in the American Armed Forces, he also had a vast knowledge about different frequencies, white and pink noises, and so much more. He actually builds his own devices to capture EVP that I have yet to see anyone to date in this field do.

..So in recruiting the best in the paranormal for EVP and believe me I know pretty much everyone out there who has come out of the closet in the last 5 years alone becoming once again specialist in their field, the reasonable answer was easy for me. Its one thing to grab a recorder from your local electronics store add a voice application to your lap top and download sounds looking for voices, to actual scientific research Michael has done and accomplished. He has worked with composers in Sweden on sound and much more. He takes it to another level that I have yet to see anyone else do in the paranormal.

..There are many more very talented individuals who are also involved in television and film that will be speaking and holding workshops as well. Everyone in this years theme of the Can-Am Paracon have very in depth resumes with credentials to back it all up. I wanted to give a line-up of individuals not only so the public can see celebrity value but to actually come see professionals who do work in the field tirelessly bringing forward the answers or some form of answer to what is out there. People want to know, they are inquisitive! The Canadian-American Paranormal Convention is set and ready to go with many coming from across Canada, United States and yes people from Australia.

..It has gained international news through main stream media and for this I am thankful for everything everyone has done to lend a hand in bringing this together for us all. The event takes place August 5th, 6th, and 7th with a V.I.P. Party on the 5th night, the event starts on the 6th morning straight through until the 7th night. ..R.Thomas: I always stress this to everyone, I will only work with police and immediate family of those who are involved in such matters. This way it eliminates all the he said she said scenarios and complications of second hand stories. It is more accommodating for all involved that it be the main source of intervention for the situation runs much more smooth in this manner. If anyone is in need, I never turn them away, I never charge for any proceedings regarding murder or missing persons cases and I also never take any rewards, I never have.
